Here at the Mortgage Lady UK, we (as I believe most of us do) love Christmas. The build-up, bevvied office parties and houses lit up with extravagant lights that puts department stores to shame!

But, with all the additional events, presents and decorations comes additional expenses. So, what do we do when the parties have ended?

Well, thankfully it is not all doom and gloom as there are loads of ways to trim the Christmas fat, so to speak, in terms of finances.

Firstly, make sure to plan and if it is too late this year, remember to get ahead of the planning next year. If you know you are going to spend a lot, then try and put away a little extra in a savings account, without a notice period on so you can access funds easily. This way you can make a little money, on your money and not feel the bite so much in January.

We can also reuse what we have. Revitalise the lights and all the decorations from previous years and do not succumb to the onslaught of adverts and one up manship of today’s society.

However, if like many, you have overspent or maxed out the credit cards and are now looking at the bills knowing they are one of the highest forms of revolving credit and those payments are going to sting. Then we can help you.

We at the Mortgage Lady UK are a whole of market mortgage brokerage. We have helped many clients by finding solutions to the above problems and more so by consolidating credit into an affordable monthly payment with the option to repay more per month and reduce terms.

Give us a call if you need help with any of the above or if you want financial advice in general. We are happy to help!

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home – by consolidating your debts into a mortgage, you may be required to pay more over the entire term than you would with your existing debt which could increase the amount of interest payable overall.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
